Her voice a buzzing monotone, courtesy of the electronic vocalizer she must hold to her throat in order to speak, Morton Grove resident Betty Meissner had a suggestion for Niles West High School students: If they don't want to risk ending up like her, a cancer survivor who can no longer speak in her own voice, don't smoke.
